Make an Impact — IBAO Board Opportunities

We’re looking for passionate leaders who believe in IBAO’s purpose, want to share their expertise and give back to their industry. As a Board Member, you’ll stay connected to industry developments, drive positive change and collaborate with fellow leaders to strengthen Ontario’s broker channel.
We’re looking for three new Directors to join our Board starting April 17th for a three-year term. Directors have opportunities to lead Committees and represent IBAO at industry events throughout the year. Candidates require a commitment to virtual and in-person meetings including multi-day events and initiatives around the province.
Opportunities
Skills Based Director (Ontario-based) — preference for Commercial Lines expertise, experience in large national accounts
Territory Director, Southwestern Ontario (from Central Erie, London, Middlesex, Oxford County, St Thomas, Grey Bruce, Perth Huron, Chatham or Windsor)
Territory Director, Central West Ontario (from Brant County, Guelph, Waterloo, Hamilton, Niagara Falls or St. Catharines)
Requirements
IBAO Member
RIBO Licensed
The endorsement of your Principal (for applicants who aren’t Principal Brokers)
Application Process
Interested Skills Based Directors should email Brett Boadway, interested Territory Directors should email their Affiliate President with the following by February 28, 2025.
An outline of your skill set and experience
A brief explanation of your interest in the role
For Skills Based Directors, interviews will be scheduled as necessary, and the selected candidate will be chosen by IBAO’s Board of Directors. For Territory Directors, should more than one candidate apply, a Territory election will be called.
